If you’re in Austin it won’t be much. The system should be sheared to the East quite a bit

You better dunk on me if you do.

You could just go by the NHC rainfall graphic

Well, I'm trying to look on the bright side here. I have a contract on some acreage up in the Magnolia area that backs up to Spring Creek and I'm supposed to go look at it on Wednesday evening. This should give me a pretty good idea how far up the property the Creek will come and if the floodplain maps are accurate.

Schools already cancelled in LC lol.

18z GFS is a bit more progressive and totals are only in the 8-10" in & around Houston. The 18z Euro stalls the system just west of Houston. Through 90hrs it shows about 40" of rain...

I understand scoffing at what seems like overly cautious steps, but I work for a school system in the River Parishes and I really wish they would have had the foresight to close the Friday before Ida hit. It would have made prep and decisions so much more manageable.

Well that would be inexcusable. But it is overly cautious considering we've been hit by tropical storms many times in the past and not closed things down over it.
