Yea Rayne and Church Point appear to be home free. This is primarily a Texas menace.

God hates them, as long as Bawpaw is in the area.

Disastrous is right. 61 inches on this run.
While this individual run is unlikely to verify, an extreme rain event has been the concern since last week. The steering pattern breaks down as this approaches the coast and the background pattern works to just pump moisture in over the same areas. Look how far the NHC moves it from Tuesday - Friday. Hopefully, it is close enough to the coast to keep the heaviest rainfall totals offshore.

I'll take this little storm all day long compared to Laura last year!

Rds what's causing the euro to just completely stall it on this run? Previous runs were slow, but at least had it moving NE.

I hope this thing doesn’t drop a little bit of rain but I don’t need any rain where I’m at. Finally got tree out and waiting for adjuster….

It has to do with a lot of moving parts. Little areas of low pressure moving through Canada influence the edge of the high pressure over the Eastern US. Also, storms in the Atlantic will play a role. Hopefully, one of the low pressure systems moving through Canada can dip down far enough at the right time to kick this system eastward. I'll post a more technical review later after the next round of model runs.

looks like ‘It Gon’ Rain’ in our neck of the woods.

4 or 5 inches of rain and a little breeze over 3 days is an improvement over some of the pop up storms we have had in the last few weeks.

Looks like I'm gonna get rain.
