They have counterflow. If he didn't leave at halftime, he wouldn't make to church in time for his sermon.

I read somewhere yesterday that it was near the 2000 block of Grammont. Which I think will be the hood between N18 and Carroll (a block South of Desaird).

The last place? That’s a bit hyperbolic.

While it might not be full-fledged ghetto, it’s on the border and definitely ghetto adjacent.

There are plenty of areas in Monroe that are miles from the ghetto. I don’t think I would plant my flag on Grammont St as being some super-safe location.

It’s in the neighborhood I grew up in… it’s sorta of the Booker T area… we referred to it as the “White Folks Quarters” when I was growing up… the last White folks left in about 94…

As to the OP, they need to catch that dude ASAP. How can you kill a little girl like that? Seems we need a purge in the worst way in our society.

Looking at that, I just realized there are 5 Grammont Streets The 2000 block is on the street cut off from the one I thought it was (between Wood & Desiard) by the railroad track (the 5th one, going east to west is broken up by the rail yard).

Ummmm As someone from Monroe, that area is a bit ghetto. During the day you could walk, but it would be far to walk across the river from there. Just bc there’s a church and the hospital does not mean it’s a good area ??
and a 5 star restaurant and a riverfront park.

my point is that is the heart of downtown but again, the article didnt specify which grammont.

Heck the Garden District at this point could be labeled borderline ghetto. It used to be Louisville was the line but I think that line has been pushed to Forsythe Avenue and may be Park Avenue in a few years.

What kind of animal do you have to be to actually be able to point a gun at a 2 year old and pull the trigger?

I’m hearing they were shooting into house… I don’t think they tried to hit anyone in particular… I just got a rundown of the situation … long story less long… one group robbed another group for two pounds of weed …fight occurred at Richwood homecoming this past Friday were someone shot at a group of people believed to be responsible for the robbery… this lead to what happened with the killings apparently
