Currently on my way home from a hunting trip in Canada. I’m convinced everyone in Toronto hates us. They surely didn’t like me flying with a firearm. Did everything right, but I had so many hurdles to jump through in Toronto. Missed my flight out of Toronto going and coming. The rest of Canada was extremely pleasant. Just Toronto.

I travel to Europe pretty regularly for work and have never had a poor experience. Granted I’m not a complete gross fatass like most Americans.

Where at in Italy?
Rome is full of counts (it's to touristy) everywhere else was very nice.

This is the only one I disagree with. I always tip people. Especially abroad.
If I’m going to tip the uninterested jackass at my local restaurant I sure as hell am going to tip the guy busting his arse in Italy.

You need patience and politeness and you’ll be fine most places. In America we are so used to on demand culture and general demands on service workers we don’t even realize how we come off sometimes.
