I played travel ball about 15 years ago when it was still a relatively new thing. Now everyone is on a travel team, everyone is getting rings, and it’s a total show. It’s become pretty depressing as someone who loved spending summers playing JPRD ball.

Craxtyntin is holding out and not playing this weekend. I told his coach at Traction’s that Craxtyntin has a WAR of 7 at 1B, but the coach played for Skip Bertman and some AA ball and thinks that Crax is better in RF but his WAR is 5 in RF. He’s a dumbass. Their team is going to get smoked this weekend with out Crax.

He wants to be the QB, he’s done it at center mid in soccer for years...we’ll see. WR or corner too. He’ll be the tallest, fastest kid...just gotta learn the game. He’s going to mostly white private school, so there’ll be opportunities to play on Friday nights. Just gotta be tough because they don’t just play schools like them.
He’s been cracking the pkacekicks too, needs to learn a kickoff and get better with punts. None of that will matter if he gets the spot he wants. May come in for a mid forty yarder...or it’ll be a fake.

Parker and Preston, the twins from the second marriage, are going to earn more rings this weekend. They’re sleeping in this morning before we all head down for breakfast at this Hampton Inn.

I told Brylen how important this tournament is. I told him that despite whst some dads say, it’s not ok to just have fun and give it his all. He has to win. And if his team can win the Championship he would be rewarded and if his team makes the other kids cry at the end that would be great.

So Claxton and Parker are a combined 7-9 today baws. I got some MLB prospects on my hands. Can’t wait until they turn 15 and the scouts start noticing
