Yep, and I realized pretty quickly that doing that was a choice. My kid was getting burned out on baseball, and the whole family started dreading tournament weekends, so we shut it down. We were all much happier afterward, and nobody missed it.

All of that and your kid getting 1 ab and an inning in right field made you feel like a failure

You sound like a daddy ball coach that couldn’t get his kid into a Juco and now are lashing out at other families doing the same thing you did.

I’m 46 years old and when I was 8-12 years old we always went to restaurants after our games to get happy meals or whatever.

We used to hop in the back bed of the coaches truck and go. All as a team.

This has been a thing for over 40 years man

What the frick is your problem?

Take out the word travel and this is perfectly normal.

What is wrong with this? I never played travel ball, but we’d always go out to eat after away games/meets as a team - on the school/school district’s dime as well

When my boys played little league it was the same as well

It’s ok…

Mine stopped this year, he's 14 1/2 and has had enough.

We were doing tournaments and a league so it was five days a week:

Monday Practice 8:00 pm till 9:30 pm (too late)

Wednesday - League Game Usually at 8:00 pm till 10:00 pm

Thursday Practice 8:00 pm till 9:30 pm

Saturday Tournament usually at least one hour from home
so all day

Sunday - Play till you get beat all day

Our two coaches kids do home school but me and mine try to go to sleep by 9 pm during the week, we told em F it.

SOB and company are running rough shod terrorizing the locals. Well, the locals who can actually get a table. Travel ball is a fricking plague. Congrats on Jaxxton’s 8th “World Series” ring though.

What’s that mean? If you play at 8 or 9 am and lose then you’re done. You have the whole day to do whatever you want

Does every team go to the "World Series"?

If they can afford it. Yeah.
