Went to a funeral this morning.
Saw people dressed trashy in old blue jeans and work boots.
Somebody phone started ringing during the service.
No respect.

Dead guy get upset about it?*

*Cue classic argument about who a funeral is for. The deceased, immediate family, anyone who knew the person?

The lack of decorum in general society is sad.

Went to an all black funeral and they had a guy shackled up and guards. Didn't know they let prisoners out for funerals.

You'd be surprised how many men do not own a suit.

Funerals are the biggest wastes of money next to weddings.

This is why you people are poor. You throw your money away on shite that does not matter.

Question
If one does not know about the funeral and is notified while the funeral is in progress and is close enough to make it, but underdressed. What should that person do?

Saw a documentary and the deceased lady had a Beautician wash/ style her hair & tediously put on makeup ,lipstick,etc.....

The whole thing is a bit odd.

it amazes me the amount of “men” on here who get butthurt about what other men wear on a daily basis.

I was in this dilemma recently, and I just went to the funeral underdressed. I know I made the right choice

Attending the funeral is the respect. That's why they call it "paying your respects".

That's up to the individual. Personally I wouldn't go because I was brought up to either show up looking your best or don't show up at all (this applies to interviews as well).

I posted this the other day, but I went to a wake last weekend (not this past weekend, the weekend before it).

Saw a dude stroll in in all leather and holding his motorcycle helmet. On back of his leather jacket was the name of his motorcycle gang "Hell's Ego" and on the bottom it had "Morgan City Chapter". With an Iron Cross patch. Why does every bike gang use the Iron Cross?
