I can only speak from experience in that I experienced a massive decrease in strength and stamina when I started hormone replacement therapy.

So for those who are currently serving and transitioning, you are telling me that the Army allows them to compromise their strength and stamina while serving? Does that not compromise our fighting forces?

Poor choice of words when addressing a male transitioning to a female.

No, they are only approved to start HRT once their gender marker changes in DEERS. At that point they now subject to their new gender standards in grooming and appearance and physics standards for PT/height and weight.

If I were one of those girls I would not even get near that.

It’s hard to believe they can’t see what this is doing.

Hazy science and apparently willy-nilly standards for classifying a condition as a mental illness.

It is interesting because the DSM that provides diagnostic criteria for mental illness has (or used to have) a diagnosis of body dysmorphic disorder.

If you look at the criteria, how does a transgender person not fit that diagnosis?

Yeah.... no. If you drop the testosterone in a male, he will lose muscle mass and bone density. So you point is moronic

athletes must have a testosterone level below 10nmol/L for at least 12 months prior to their first competition. The average range for adult females is 0.52 to 2.8 nmol/L, with levels above 2.7 described as the “upper limit of normal.”

So even with 35 years of building up muscles he/it just has to lower his testosterone to THREE TIMES ABOVE THAT OF A NORMAL FEMALE.

Oh, I'd be so pissed off if I was a legit female athlete who had to go up against that freak show.

Could you imagine a lightweight wrestler having to go up against a heavyweight because the heavyweight identifies as a little guy?

So if you take a 220lbs male and drop his testosterone levels his mass and bone density will be that of a female?

Are you retarded?

You know older men testosterone levels naturally and are still stronger and bigger than females, right?

Torn. Probably the best way to describe it. I don’t fall in line lockstep with my peers. I go back and forth often. I can only speak from experience in that I experienced a massive decrease in strength and stamina when I started hormone replacement therapy.
Alas, you are still stronger than a similar female.

The entire discussion is stupid.

Hormone therapy has no effect whatsoever on lung capacity. Bone structure. VO2 max. Etc. Even if you get could your test levels down to equal female competitors, you're at a GROSS advantage.

It very much is and like you said, I don’t want that opportunity taken away from my peers.
The opportunity to beat actual women in a competition where the woman has no chance whatsoever?

Yeah. That's not "competing"
