Traffic rant: Police should ticket drivers who pull into an intersection and block traffic

..when their light turns red.
It’s common occurrence. If there isn’t enough room for your car to clear the intersection, don’t pull into it.

Agreed: though I think half the time it’s because the cars in front simply decided to stop too early and could pull forward allowing the last car to clear

Agree.
Also, in no particular order:
Pulling out in front of someone causing them to have to slow down (and then you turn 300 yards ahead onto a side street).
Cruising slowly and methodically in the left lane.
Not using turn signals to show your intention
Driving side by side instead of passing

These are called Anti-gridlock laws. They exist in many places although I have rarely seen anyone ticketed, even in the most congested cities (although I did know someone who got a ticket for it...once)

Best part is watching the vehicles in the turning lane leaving an entire car space between them. They never pull up.

The number of people just straight running red lights is insane.
I'm not one to worry about minor infracrions but passing through an intersection 2 seconds after the cross light is green is dangerous.

When was the last time you saw a policeman make a traffic stop? I live in Jefferson Parish where police staffing isn’t an issue and have seen, among other things, 7 cars run the light at the busiest of intersections; Clearview and Vets. I seriously can’t remember the last time I saw a cop making a traffic stop.
Maybe where you live the police actually make regular traffic stops.

I frequently have drivers blow the horn at me for NOT pulling into an intersection and blocking traffic during rush hour. Baton Rouge has retard drivers

If you don’t have enough room to clear the intersecting you shouldn’t have pulled into it in the first place.

Best are the ones that have to yield to turn left, and then thecide they'll yield in the middle of the intersection.

Agree completely…if you haven’t cleared the intersection by the time the light turns red, you are breaking the law.

DSPD could turn that into their own money printer (tickets), but I’ve never seen a cop do anything about it in my entire life.
ETA: and people would actually be happy they were writing tickets there!
