Dumbasses built a brand new two lane road because the last two lane road stayed backed up with traffic.

Not to mention it took 23 years to complete cause they fricked it up 3 times.

I'm not that familiar with much of Ascension but it always amazes me when I'm out there how they've thrown up tons of neighborhoods on these narrow 2 lane highways.

I learned this was dumb planning as a 10 year old playing SimCity 2000.

I travel on that road a good bit. When they were doing all the construction on the "new" road, I said the same thing, "wait a minute, you're building a fricking 2 lane road??"

Yeah. You can get in the turn lane and watch all the traffic go by.

Instead of putting them on the bus. No way that little Brandyen will have to sit next to.... well you know...THEM.

And there were three tractors mowing ditches southbound between 74 and 30. It takes some great planning to do that on the 1st day back.

73 is a nightmare

Ascension's remedy is always the turn lane in the middle, never more freaking lanes.

Traffic on Hwy 73 in Dutchtown

Come to think of it, I was on that stretch about three months ago, and granted it was peak traffic hours, but ...WOW! I could not believe what I was driving through.

If somehow St George does not pass, that parish is going to have some troubles.

Every neighborhood has it's own sewer treatment plant with a lifespan on it. There is only enough money collected for usage/maintenance and there is nothing being saved for eventual replacement.

The Parish is heading towards some major infrastructure issues and the residents are bitching their low taxes aren't low enough. The traffic will never be solved, but that problem will pale in comparison.

You think Dutchtown High is full of Brieydynn and Braiydynn?

Ms Sharper(the crossing guard) don't take no shite neither.

Dutchtown High needs a student driver entry/exit to 74 behind the Baseball Field to Carne Lane. That would fix a LOT of the frickery at 630 during school. Add dis!

Ascension parish is also proud of its ditches and no shoulders of that bound its roads.

Delivering pizza all over Northern AP for 5 years, it amazes me more pedestrians aren't killed.

Many of these people have no other means to get to and from work/store/drug dealers(jk) and it's bullshite the parish/state hasn't built sidewalks/shoulders along 42, Duplessis/Germany(931), 621, 74, Bluff, Joe Sevario, 929 and so on. Absolutely irresponsible.

Watched a drunk driver bounce of the ditches on 621. She veered off to the right, hit the ditch HARD and bounced her Lexus SUV across the road coming to a rest in the left side ditch

Waited 45 mins for a LA Trooper to come administer the DUI test. She failed miserably falling on her face trying to stand on one leg

not to far from 73 on 30

I used to have an office on 30 just West of 73. My company leased about 20 acres with all of it having Highway 30 frontage starting in 1998. The landowner practically begged us to buy it after a few years and he was asking for peanuts back then but my company would not bite. I was just out of college back then as a green PM in the O&G market and seriously considered buying it on my own and then leasing it back to my company but didn't have the funds.

Holy shite, I would be a millionaire now if I would have done that......

Now they're expanding Bluff road b/c they're building a middle school. I would bet my life that they're going to frick it up again with a turning lane. Traffic is going to quadruple on that road.

Not to mention the school they just built in a neighborhood with 1 egress.
