Happened to me a few weeks ago. Note to self - never answer "yes" when they ask "is this ___ ?"

I never answer calls from random numbers. If it is important they woyld leave a voicemail

I got one a few weeks ago.
Asked for validation of the debt with my signature on it. After a bunch of stammering...she said we’ll send you something in the mail.

I said the same thing Then she said don't be surprised when they come boot my vehicle....I laughed and said there's a guy in BR that's apparently racked up 16K in these, so doesn't sound like you're doing a great job booting people

And for the Texas Baws, it’s not legally allowed to do anything to your credit in the state of Texas.
Most they can do is some counties will hold your registration. But you can go to another county that doesn’t give a frick
