To be fair, the trendy movement right now on social media is unlikely what anyone on this board is thinking.
It's not just traditional roles generally speaking. It's like.. women who live on a farm with their husband and 7 children, making sandwiches baby-on-hip that involve:
- baking their own focaccia/sourdough from scratch
- making their own mozzarella from scratch, bonus point if using raw milk from their own cows
- getting the tomatoes and basil from their garden
- buttering the bread slices with handmade butter
I am guilty of enjoying watching it. But some of them get a bit out there once you leave the food/cooking aspect.

I find a lot of social media “trad wives” are uneducated anti vaxxers who hate Halloween and Santa.

my wife and I do not - we pretty evenly split it up - mostly based on work schedules.

If you’re talking politically, it gets entertaining

I haven't watched any of them admittedly. I just used the trendy term

Society would be much stronger if people embraced roles.
It’s the parents’ job to educate and raise your kids. Don’t trust public schools to do it.
One of the parents (preferably the mother) should be at home keep the homestead and focusing on the kids instead of stressing about the corporate ladder.

Yep. Traditional wife for decades of marriage.
All of our kid's friends loved hanging out at our house cuz of the mom vibe.

The trad wife movement is based on the belief that men and women should assume “traditional” gender roles, with women caring for the house and children, and men providing financially and managing most decisions for the family.
My wife has said multiple times her only desire is to take care of me, the kids, and our home. She has a blue haired cousin who gets really bent out of shape over this. It wasn’t long ago that we were at a family gathering when the topic of the election came up. When my wife said “I just ask Darth who I’m voting for” her cousin about had a complete mental breakdown.

Yuck. Would have been alot cheaper just to join a frat and nail her in her prime.

My wife is a SAHM and bakes sourdough non stop but she doesn’t post about it on social media incessantly so I don’t think she is allowed to call herself a “trad wife”

The lady that does Ballerina farms is married to the son of the guy that started Jet Blue (and some other companies). I’m sure that helps with the budget.
Her husband is also first cousins with Zach Wilson of BYU/Jets/Broncos.
If read comments that say that her stove costs more than a car.
I think their kids live a nice cool life on that farm.

That is me when my sister talks about her career
I respond with stories of grocert shopping meatloaf making. It grinds her gears.
