I don't understand the actions of the grandmother. She didn't even look in the back? Hear the kid yell in pain, or worse, not hear the kid make a sound after a gun was fired?
Obviously the shooter deserves a life in prison or worse, assuming this all happened as reported, but wtf, grandma??

Clearly someone stopping too long at a stop sign is a good reason to get mad and shoot someone... 
A person has to either be on something or have some type of mental illness to do this kind of thing. Maybe there are people who gets that mad that it results in them doing something irrational, but it should register in that person's mind before committing the act that "this is completely irrational, what the hell am I doing?"

According to local news, the suspect is black yet I find it odd this was not mentioned in the police tweets in the link posted. This was the second child shot and killed in an auto in less than a month in Little Rock.
Grandma was only 47 years-old. The child did not die in the car. He died at the hospital. Makes me wonder if the child could have been saved if she had been more attentive to what had transpired and got him to a hospital quicker.

Just my opinion, but I don't think she even knew a shot was fired, by her actions after. Maybe she was honking her horn when the shot was fired, or for whatever reason. The article said the bullet went through the vehicle, so I don't think a window was busted out or anything. I just don't think she knew he fired a gun, so had no reason to think to check on the kid.

Your opinion is wrong. According to the article in the paper, after she honked back the suspect got out of his car and fired a shot according to her. That's what she told the police.

I think that's probably what happened. I've heard stories of people being shot by stray fire and having no clue that they had -- and I imagine a 3-year-old would be somewhat limited in explaining that he thought something was wrong.
It's also possible that he was asleep and the shot, though fatal, didn't startle him out of sleep.
I just feel so awful for that woman to have to live with the fact that her inaction and lack of situational awareness possibly cost that innocent baby his life.
Sometimes I revel in the beauty of this world and sometimes I hate it with a boiling passion. This is one of those situations where I hate the world.

I just can't buy that the grandmother heard gunshots from about 10 feet (regardless of whether she thought the car was hit) and just continued about her day like nothing happened. LR isn't THAT bad.

Every once in a blue moon I'll have some road rager get p.o.'d at something I've done. I'll usually pull up next to the person and look over and when they start talking I point to my hear and pretend that I can't hear them... that only makes them more irate and they start yelling even louder. Sometimes I even roll down my window and do the Stone Cold "What?" routine -- gets em every time 
One time I was headed down Highland and I-10 and this old junky truck comes speeding up behind me -- it was like 6am and I was still half asleep or hungover or both and it took me a few seconds to get out of the fast lane - even though I was going over the speed limit I guess it wasn't fast enough. So I pulled up to the red light and happened to glance over and this middle age black guy who was black as night was giving me the evil eye, more like a death stare - dude was so dark all I could see were the whites of his eyes (racist I know) - I started staring back and made my eyes real big and he started cursing under his breath all like "you stupid arse white motherfricker" (racist again I know) -/ I just started laughing my arse off and when the light turned red he peeled out and hauled arse in his old rickety truck. I hope I ruined his day

My wife has hardcore road rage. This is why I tell her to cool her shite. Bunch of psychos out there on the road and she's not a gun person even though she served in the military.
