My son drives my 95 daily as well. Haven't found a Vehicle yet I would trade the LC for. Triple locked and takes us anywhere we need to go and then back again.

That old nineties model Trooper was a great vehicle. I wish they were still around.

I have 2 different 100 series
2002 LX 470 237,000 miles
2005 overland built LC 241,000 miles
They are both about to be turned into colorful branded work trucks

That's a Land Cruiser with heavy and expensive modifications.
Really, what are these expensive modifications you see?

And an "on road" spec previous generation Yukon Denali without any modifications or even an off road package.
Why did the place the fake mountains behind it? Because it’s off-road abilities are also fake.
I’m sorry, but the Yukon and Tahoe are just trucks with coverings in the back that allows them to handle groceries and soccer balls better.

Very nice. Amazing what a triple locked 80 series and good tires can do. Was watching some youtube vids for help with a few things I wanted to do on my 100 and ran across three guys doing a friendly hill climb competition.
Tacoma, 4Runner, and 80 series and all modded up a touch. Tacoma first and got about half way, 4Runner same thing. 80 series.... didn’t even break a sweat. Not a scientific test of course but just showed how bad arse the LC can be and what it’s capable of. My hundred does have the rear locker but since IFS in 98, no front. It’d be killer with a locked solid front axle.

I agree, just wish there were some local places to hit the trails and take in some scenery.

LC bros are just like the Supra bros in that they will not tolerate anyone's opinion other than it is best vehicle ever made.

I had both a '91 and a '95. The '95 was much more powerful and comfortable...but was nowhere close to being as off road capable as the '91. I can't tell you how many 4wd trucks I passed in the ditches in the blizzard of '93 with the old trooper...it was like a freaking mountain goat.

Those are highly modified Land Cruisers.
Watch the video again...the other pictures are modified 200 series...but the video isn't. It's freaking stock (with the exception of the tires and roof rack)...
Here's how they practice pulling out jeeps.

Here is a snow video of the Tahoe vs the 200 series.

But the Tahoe can out pull the Land Cruiser...right.
Nope...video

I own an 80 Series LC, so I'm partial. That being said, past the 80 series you lose a lot of the ruggedness that made Land Cruisers famous. The 100 series have a lot of capability on and off road too, but he 200 Series is not necessary based (in my opinion) solely on price.
You can by a 80 series in great shape for 10-20k. Outside of leaking oil (which in mine is all but resolved right now) they are super reliable vehicles. You can drive it just about anywhere. It's comfortable. Easy to find parts and aftermarket gear. It's just about a perfect off road vehicle (IMO).

It was overpriced for what it was.
