Mayor Cantrell says that as the city begins to slowly open up, any rise in cases could cause them to pull right back to more restrictions.

quote:

Q: What happens if there's a spike in our numbers? Will there be a shut off?

Cantrell: Absolutely. If we do not do well in this first phase, we will not be doing another phase. We will shut it off.

quote:

Q: You said if you saw an increase we'd shut things down, what is the number or pct that would require that.

Dr. Avegno (Health Department): If as we open up cases start to go up quickly or they go up at all we have to see them go down for several weeks.

quote:

Cantrell says every restaurant customer will be treated like a reservation, with a name and a phone number

quote:

Cantrell: Understand in this Phase I we will have to adhere to no social gatherings, no events, no tours.

quote:

Cantrell: In regard to what we're going to unveil today about reopening. Restaurants will be required to have reservations, meaning name and phone number, to allow for contact tracing.

Yes it does. Here is the actual quote.

quote:

If we do not do well in this first phase, we will not be doing another phase. We will shut it off.

quote:

they go up at all we have to see them go down for several weeks.

For the millionth time.

The only numbers that matter are hospitalizations and ventilations.

There was apparently more to her statement that matches what was posted. I'm not listening nor do I intend to. I'm pulling from Twitter.

Just so y'all know, this bitch is part of, if not THE, problem. She's essentially Latoya with a medical degree. I've had the pleasure of working with and around her for a long time in the healthcare system down here and she's a fricking liberal moonbat.

So... if they go up by 2, then it gets shut down for a month?

She probably thinks that if she does an extra 100,000 tests tomorrow, the number of positives shouldn’t go up.

I really hope she rules with an iron fist. I want to watch this boil over, but the retards of NOLA will comply without question.

In that use, it seems like "shut it off" means "don't continue to next phase", not "go in reverse".

Not Ghana know if that's what she meant or not.
