Chose drugs over everything at every opportunity. Drove my younger sisters' lives into dirt (one has thankfully managed to pull herself out, the other is continuing the cycle). Wasted tens of thousands of our family's money. Once when we were in college my brother and I decided to surprise him for father's day and make the long drive from BR to Lexington, KY to be with him and my two younger sisters. He thanked me by getting toasted that night telling me the story of how he left my mom...2 hours after I was born. You see, his side piece was in the parking lot with an 8-ball and wanted to party. Out he went. The next time I remember seeing him, I was 6 years old and he was chained to a jail bench. Rinse and repeat for the next 20 years.

I have always encouraged anyone who expressed concern about doing the same thing.

Divorcing my wife. Filed in May but it's turning out to be a good thing except for not getting to see my daughter everyday.

To not fight my wife when she filed for divorce, knowing even then that I would have a hell of a time trying to be a father to my kids.

4 years ago decided to leave my job of 10 years to go to the direct competitor and have the same accounts. Had to convince them that the they needed to sell my product now instead of the product I've been telling them to sell for the past 10 years. Lol

How close are you to your family? How many kids do you have? How rooted were you with your career? How much did you cherish the relationships with your closest friends that were around where you're from? Did you have multiple mortgages?
I won't criticize you, but most people that are afraid to do something new are rooted. It may be superficial, but when making a decision to just pack up everything and move away it most often is awaiting a domino effect to occur before you are free to leave. Also, if you have a family and just continue to shuffle them all over the country, then it is a very selfish thing for someone to do.
