For those of you flying tonight/tomorrow, be warned there is pretty moderate turbulence for flights over Houston/DFW area. Just flew Houston IAH-Minneapolis and it was very bumpy from IAH over to Austin, pretty severe over DFW and finally ended somewhere by Norman, OK

Two areas to watch right now, cluster over SE Texas and cells coming in off the Gulf into SW LA.

Sneaky one in an area of general rotation, but shows it's self with the brightness. That lead cluster going to be in Louisiana soon enough.

RadarScope.

It's not free but its easy to use and gets you access to all the fancy radar tools.

Google 4/27/15 Baton Rouge derecho

Sky went black around 9AM. Like midnight black. 75 mph winds confirmed. It was an hour of hell, like being inside a tornado. My power was out for days after.
