Dixie alley has most certainly shifted over the years to include more of Louisiana.

Tornado season in our area most definitely runs from February thru may and then again from November thru December.

I'll leave around 5:15 today providing it has cleared up some but I'm not foolish enough to try and drive in the dark when you literally can't see in front of your car.

Ended up driving to my parents last night before the storm really hit.

Glad I made that decision. My little one is sleeping peacefully next to me right now.

I know that, but ten years ago I do not recall getting the same level of consistent tornadic activity as we do now.

Not the whole state. It's shifting to include southern LA and southern MS in recent years.

Not really south LA, though. Growing up in Pineville, this was more the norm, however

That's because you were younger and didn't have children to protect. This happens every spring on the clock. The problem with today's world is how everything that's happening right now is the worst or best thing that's ever happened. We live in a constant state of overreaction thanks to the way the Internet has permeated the walls of our everybeing.

I agree with you...but the Great Flood of 16 is definitely the worst thing I've ever seen weather wise

well this thread turned AIDS. Can't go back to sleep. Waking up in 2 hours won't be fun.

You made the right choice. Just got home and I hit some patches of wind and rain that had me nervous driving through. Hope it passes quickly
