That current tornado SW of S'Port doesn't look like it has legs.

Seems to be fading quickly as far as a tornado threat is concerned. Still warned though.

Desoto Parish deputy just told me that tornado coming into Logansport was spotted.

It is looking rough here. Called the D.A. and told him if the tornado comes here (Mansfield), I'm going over to his private office (the old post office) and get in the basement.

Unfortunately there is a radar coverage gap in a part of the east side of that circle.

There is absolutely no rain at all here in Houston. I'm looking online and of course all the channels are still acting like it's going to be fricking Armageddon. However, my weather app now only shows a 50% chance of rain at 5:00.

ETA: hope everyone is safe up north.

Warning south of Shreveport will probably be dropped pretty soon.

To be fair, there is a flash flood warning within 70 miles of the center of Houston and well within the viewing area.

Cells are popping off in the wide open warm sector, the only question now is are they going to crowd each other out or will we see some dominate cells.

Is it rare to see this kind of activity that far south?

Still picking up some strong winds off that storm but it doesn't look as good on radar as it did when it first went warned out of Center, TX.

Was hoping the I10 corridor would have gotten contaminated, but looks like there will be enough energy with the extremely strong shear to set things off very soon. Cell near Mansfield will probably end up getting sucked into the mess North of it. Those cells developing to the south should be the main show and should develop farther west.

Watching the one just NW of Reeves and the one NW of Oberlin, so far those look like the most likely candidates

But isolated cells could be there throughout the day.

Lots of room to run on those storms...
