There is a warning cone for the back country between Livonia and Fordoche. If they don't extend it, New Roads will be fine.
You should be getting some very strong storms in a moment though.

I've seen several people say they were traveling in the threat area today. It would be a great idea to get an app that gives you the warnings. I recommend the app Weather Radio by WDT it costs $4.99 (worth it) and will track your GPS location and alert you if you are in a warning polygon. You can customize which types of warnings you want to receive an alert for. Me and my family use it, and I trust it.

When this passes you are probably in the clear for a couple of hours if you need to do something outside.
No tornado now but possibility of hail is still there for another 10 minutes or so. Looks like it went more north than they predicted and kind of passed between New Roads and LaBarre before the warning expired. The storm that popped off is headed towards Angola now.
My parents are in the New Roads area. They said its just light rain at their house now.

Areas south of the warm front have out some pretty high end potential if a cell can get going.

Wow.
How's the scenario setting up for today? Just woke up. Ethanol to blame.

If I'm reading that correctly, Beaumont has an EHI of 9?
