Is that the outbreak that took out Texas st in bossier? Heard that was pretty bad.

Nah. This is in North AL. It was the April 3, 1974 Super Outbreak, another "normal" system in the 90s, and the April 27, 2011 Super Outbreak.

My phone says highs in the 60s next Thursday. What happened to cold and snow? Looks like that’ll be a bust

First S alert of the night with some rotation south of Alexandria.

Gonna be interesting to see what those lead storms can do farther east. They should have a little better moisture to work with.

fortunately for me... for that tornado warned storm to affect me... it would have to go totally off course to the west-northwest

Did you bother to look at the next 3 days? Highs in the 40s. That’s certainly not record cold but no one is going to forecast it this far out. The potential is still there for MUCH colder temps those days. Or it may just be “regular” cold. As far as snow, that’s always a crap shoot. They can’t reliably predict precip of any form more than a few days out.

The big Bossier tornado was in early December 1978.

The lull is interesting with Nadocast highlighting farther east into Mississippi earlier today. Nadocast flexed on 11/29. They might again today.

Nadocast at 14z

Nadocast at 18z

These damn tornados need to clear out so we can focus on the Christmas snow.

Intentionally obtuse. That’s the one moderating day before another cold blast.
It’ll probably be colder than what the weather channel says. They are typically conservative on temps and trend colder with time.

No bust as of now. Eat shite?

I mean, the pattern is pretty much set, and the trend is still there for legit cold. Expecting particulars right now is just unreasonable, especially with any type of precip.

This run puts my area in North AL below freezing for around five days with single digit lows.

The snow and extreme cold on the models was for Christmas weekend
