I don’t think a tornado went through Mansfield. I drove through there today and I haven’t heard a mention of one.

Just chiming in to give thanks for all you guys and the useful information every time. Heck I’ve learned a few things.
Up here in North Alabama we get our share of this weather so I certainly can feel y’all’s anxiety your experiencing today.
Again thanks to our TD meteorologists. Harrumph!

him and pride, et al probably still will since it spared BR.
they don't care about what happened to the westbank, killona/montz, caddo, etc since it didn't affect them.

NWS Shreveport on twitter
Edit: anyone on Twitter really should follow the NWS accounts around their area and put alerts on.

The National Weather Service offices will be conducting surveys over the coming days. They will release all of their prelim and final surveys on Twitter.
Follow:
@NWSShreveport
@NWSNewOrleans
@NWSLakeCharles
All of the info will be posted on their feed. Also, it will eventually make it onto the NWS website.
This is the Twitter link to the one I posted earlier

I believe this 100%. People can say what they want about Twitter, but it is absolutely the best way to get information out during natural disasters. Make an account, follow only official or reliable accounts, and use it as a tool. It is invaluable.
I'll add that WxTwitter is generally pretty good at policing itself. You don't get a whole lot of garbage that is allowed to run rampant without being checked.

Nothing official yet. It will likely be a day or two. They have a hell of a lot of work ahead of them.
