ETA: with as common as these storms are getting, I may just need to put a mini fridge in the bathroom.

Storms may be the excuse I give to the wife, but I'm doing this either way

Good luck from the panhandle. Our turn is coming soon

That's R&D audio in one pick but that area is West Bank expressway and avenue B. The north side of expressway.

If we're getting hit, I'll know about 10 minutes before you.

Outside with my eyes on the sky now

Reports from gretna aren't good damage wise. A large/wide path of destruction from the Harvey line to Algiers. Mayor said it's like the city was severed

Where are you?

I’m pretty close to the coast, just off 90.

For a cold update:

The Canadian is sticking to mid 20s around BR for this Sunday morning. and it keeps the coldest of the cold air around us from the 23rd through Christmas. Lows in the lower 20s, highs in the lower to mid 30s.

The GFS has been pushing the cold eastward on the last few runs.
Mid to upper 20s for several consecutive mornings with highs in the lower to mid 40s.

Nothing frozen for either model right now as the coldest air lags the precip and pushes it out of the way. Typical for us.

Updated GFS has the coldest air coming more directly at us (BR) for the 18z run. Lows close to 20 getting up to around 30 at noon on Christmas Eve. Back down to near 20 for Christmas morning with a high on Christmas likely in the mid 30s. Fairly dry.
