Columbus TV Station went off the air for me on both Directv and OTA antenna. Weather person on air said we're headed to the basement and checked out.

Looks like a tornado dropped as that line ran into Columbus. Correlation coefficient suggests debris in the air.

It's not going to. There's an apparent big tornado on the ground rolling into Alabama north of US 82. At least that's north of T-Town.
There's a smaller cell around Macon, MS that has rotation and that one is currently heading toward Tuscaloosa generally. Still a ways off and the whole thing is continuing to line out at least.
ETA: Columbus took a tornado hit.

That was bad.
There was just a big wind signature with a broad looking rotation on approach. Apparently that was from the downdraft really getting rolling because the tornado ended up dropping a few minutes later and it was right on top of Columbus.
It's still an intense tornado currently, rolling into Alabama now.
ETA:
Debris up to about 12k feet.

Columbus damage around the 7th Ave & 18th St. in area of Sim Scott Park. Gardner Blvd & Water Works Rd.

I hope I am right looking that these tornados and not seeing cells that could but down more than a 1 or weak 2.
Damage is damage but I just don’t see anything that suggests anything larger.
