This morning the weather people in NOLA were saying mid-late day round 1 rain due to a warm front, and then overnight, round 2 would be a cold front passage.
Looking at radar just a big mass of stuff in South LA, hours before predicted.
Has everything just merged into one weather event? I see a line of storms up in north texas but it doesn't extend to the south... is that the line that may move south tonight?

It's still 2 rounds. You are correct the line in N Tex will swing through this evening/tonight.

Areas south of the warm front will remain unstable and there could be another round of storms this afternoon before the cold front moves through later.
Also, flooding is going to be an issue. Lots of rain has already fallen in some areas today.

Cell west of Lafayette is getting interesting, looks like it might be associated with an outflow boundary from an earlier storm. It's also in the vicinity of the warm front. Could be an issue.
