Wife works in surgery in hattiesburg. They were called in for "mass casualty" a couple hre ago. This just means all hands on deck. She said they have ALOT of people from tornado damage in. It came about 15mins from my house (thank God) but the poor people it went by got wrecked. My bosses cousin was killed, A couple my parents know was killed, and they had grandbaby in the house and no one has found it yet. A coworkers friend and husband was in the house, house demolished... cant find woman yet. Its bad between jayess and bassfield ms

I've heard the damage is unreal. I'm not familiar enough with the area to say where exactly.

Only in Alabama. Tornado outbreak on Easter Sunday in the middle of a global pandemic and the weatherman has used a strip joint and a BBQ place as location markers.

Thanks, while i am not directly involved.. its a small community, so everyone knows someone. The people i personally know in the area we have reached out to, they have tree damage, roof damage, etc.. but said others there are just demolished. A church looked like a bomb went off, houses gone, looks like a dozer ran through them. People missing or killed. Sad times for sure

Same, wife just text me from hospital and all she said was "i wont be home anytime soon, there is alot of people"

No clue on conditions of these people, how many, or what. She just works in surgery, and she is not called in unless its an emergency on weekends or holidays. So for them to do a "mass casualty" call... its not great. She has worked in surgery 17years and ive only heard that call twice. And the other time was last yr when all the paratroopers hit wrong landing, but fortunately that was just alot of injuries after all was said and done.

Feels like just yesterday when those paratroopers were dropped in the wrong place. Thoughts for all those devastated by these storms and those that are responsible for their care within the communities.

Y'all missed Spann saying that was a gas station and liquor store that he was very familiar with.

Oh really...
