Didn't think I'd ever hear Spann talk about the boobie trap on live TV.

I know MS and AL are dealing with the brunt of this, but should this be concerning, or not really?

Not sure. I'm getting 2nd and 3rd hand info right now.
I’m just trying to wrap my head around what circumstances would warrant leaving your house in the midst of one of these things and where would you go quickly enough that was safer?
ETA: Perhaps an outdoor safe room or shelter?

I have fricked up and smoked a whole cigar and drank a 20oz Baja Blast in one sitting following these storms. Combination of feeling relaxed from the cigar and hyper from the caffeine. I rarely drink anything with caffeine

That storm had great lead time. It had been tracked for around an hour before getting into the Laurel area. There would have been plenty of time to make a decision, get shite together, and leave. They may have gone to a shelter or friend's place. Or they may have just drove north out of the worst area.
There was no lack of warning for this storm and that area.
