True, but there is no law that states a deadline for how hours/days/weeks it takes to do so.
Apologies for the incorrect statement. If I had thought more about it, I wouldn’t have worded my comment that way. I know the name will be released and absolutely should be released, but some of these people on social media are coming unhinged because it hasn’t been released yet.

Casualty reports are subject to FOIA iaw w the reg referenced earlier. There are associated timelines for response. The name will be released just not immediately.
