Trump knows exactly who this is, if it’s a shim, and just about all other basic data. My guess is they are withholding identification until they get the details its medical history, social media, searching home for manifestos etc.

Doug Rice, a former American Airlines captain who landed many times at Reagan National, said helicopters in that airspace are restricted to flying 200 feet above the ground. On Wednesday, the plane and the military helicopter collided about 400 feet in the air.
The CRJ's collision alert doesn't pick up below 700'.

Watching the video, the helicopter is 100% in the fault.
Reading a thread on Reddit, the ATC asked the heli if they saw the CRJ and they said yes. The ATC gave them very specific headings and the helicopter pilots still looked at the wrong plane.

I agree. There’s another poster on the army forum who goes into great detail describing a culture problem with army aviation training. It’s not prioritized apparently.

I have not heard the audio with specific headings mentioned. Do you have a link? Either way, helo fault So sad.
