Completely and utterly false.
If the female was highly qualified and not hired over better qualified men it's not a DEI hire.
I can't make it any simpler for you.

Yeah man… that doesn’t mean it’s DEI’s fault. There’s no harm in waiting a little bit longer for facts to come out before saying something like that.
When Trump implied it was DEI we didn't even know the pilot on the sticks was female
Perhaps there's still more that he knew that we don't yet know?
Perhaps you all saying "we should wait before opining" are the ones who should wait before opining and should defer to the 3rd greatest person who's ever walked the earth and who likely knows more about what happened than we will know for days?

Common sense points to deficiency on part of ATC.
By any measure, ATC communication was in no way timely, was not specific. This set of circumstances point to failure of the primary purpose of the ATC.
Common sense also shows the co-determinate factor is air traffic volume in this space. It is not clear whether this factor was a known (if ill advised) risk that is structural. But if that is the case, it could place even greater onus accurate performance of the ATC.
There is talk ‘that if only the helo had been 200’ higher or lower, tragedy would have been avoided’. This argument only highlights, in stark relief, the absolute conundrum when begging to find the reason these aircraft were ever allowed to be virtually co-located in this space in the first place.
Human error allows for examination of the humans involved…

So is there an area in which female pilots lack something needed to do the job, that males have?
I think the only way a female pilot could have a disadvantage to her male counterparts is if she wasn’t properly trained /inexperienced. Females are perfectly capable of being pilots, so long as they have the mental acuity and training to do it, which is also true of male pilots.
Having said that, I have no clue what the ability of this particular female pilot was. She could have been a great pilot, she could have been completely incompetent and in way over her head. We, by that I mean the general public, simply don’t know at this point. All I do know, or at least I think I know, is apparently for some reason, the helicopter was flying much higher than it was supposed to in this area. Why it was flying too high, so far I’ve not seen any explanation.

Simply because the pilot was female doesn't mean it's DEI. It's DEI if she was promoted over more capable pilots because she's female.

You literally just posted two completely different scenarios

Perhaps it's a response to the crowd that can't stop claiming he's literally Hitler no matter what he does.

It's bad on both ends of the spectrum but that's all I'm gonna say about it. This thread has been derailed enough.

I don't care if the pilot was male or female. I'm also bothered that today is a day of grief for many and to politicize the event so quickly is morbid and lacks any shred of couth.

We already know everything there is to know about this situation until the NTSB report comes out. Honestly could unsticky this thread at this point,

If you say something like that, you need to also say the facts behind it when you make that claim as the President of the United States.
Disqualifying a pilot because she’s female, when there have been thousands of women who have been in the Army way before the introduction of DEI is crazy. It could have been her fault. I don’t know. Blaming her before there’s proof of it is just entirely unnecessary. Who benefits by placing that blame early?

Not sure about this yet. I've seen depictions with helo reported alt below 200ft yet the ATC plot showed 300 on the helo air track. Not sure if that was radar reported and if so how reliable/accurate. I never controlled ATC but on longer range radars there is plenty of altitude ambiguity 100ft aint much.

Seems like ATC should've ordered the crj to go around as soon as there were conflict alarms in the tower, no? Not approve a visual separation at night.

News is breaking that ATC was short staffed and had one person manning two towers. Things about to get way worse for DCA.
