Just sucks how everything becomes instantly political. Obviously there were significantly more deaths, but I can only imagine how much worse our country would have handled 9/11 if it took place in today’s world.
Trump blaming DEI.
Dems blaming Trump’s cutting of certain programs.
We have no proof either contributed but people can’t wait for facts to come out before deciding it’s the other sides fault. Absolutely crazy.

Unfortunately it's a never-ending cycle.

AP reporting

That’s according to Jonathan Koziol, chief of staff for Army aviation. The instructor pilot was evaluating the second pilot — who was also qualified as a pilot in command — for that night training flight and the pilot who was being evaluated had about 500 flight hours, Koziol said.

All we said is that Trump wouldn't have said what he said without evidence. You and others cried about his tone instead of trusting that he had more facts than we did.

Means a lot. Ambulances don't move dead people.
You took my comment out of context when you only quoted a small portion.
My point was that some random person allegedly somewhere near the scene providing his take means very little.

Simply because the pilot was female doesn't mean it's DEI. It's DEI if she was promoted over more capable pilots because she's female.

No one gives two fiddler's fricks. Let it go.

It apparently triggered some earlier when I asked this, but I’ll do it again;
Has there been anything said about why the helicopter was apparently flying unusually high for this area? And if it was higher than normal, how did no one notice it was too high?

Again, Trump knows more than we do. He wouldn't have said what he said without knowing.

Yeah very unlike him to speak suddenly and bluntly

NTSB will have initial report in 30 days.
Otherwise they didn't say much.

Hopefully they've been able to retrieve the black box.

Yeah man… that doesn’t mean it’s DEI’s fault. There’s no harm in waiting a little bit longer for facts to come out before saying something like that.

I am asking this because I seriously do not know. What disadvantage does a female pilot have? On average, do they not have the strength needed to do certain task flying a helicopter. I ask that because I know nothing about flying a helicopter.
Compare it to men and women playing basketball against each other. If you take the best WNBA player and put her up against anyone in the NBA and they play one on one, the average NBA player would dominate her because of size and strength. Men play a much more physical game and taking an elbow from an average NBA player is much different than taking an elbow from a WNBA player (if you are a WNBA player).
So is there an area in which female pilots lack something needed to do the job, that males have?

After immediately blaming Biden and Obama for this incident, about the biggest thing I got from that presser was the amount of arse kissing that Duffy, Vance and Hegseth did to their master Trump. Whole presser was really bad.

Completely and utterly false.
We don’t need X number of male and female pilots or brown pilots or purple pilots.
If ALL men are the best qualified, then all military pilots should be men.
If ALL women are the best qualified, then all pilots should be women.
This was very likely a DEI hire.
