Got a little too drunk last night.

I’m done drinking

We've all been there and made this proclamation to ourselves. I said this myself many many times on some particularly bad mornings. Yet inevitably I still would once I didn't feel like shite anymore. Hopefully you can follow through and it isn't just the hangover talking.

I still haven't quit fully but I have gotten it down to only special occasions. When I found out I was going to be a dad is when I really took it seriously that I couldn't drink like that anymore because the stakes were about to be raised.

Alcohol is very insidious. Just a little nightcap is so easy to justify.

I have terrible depression and anxiety the day after drinking liquor and I don't sleep well.

Best choice I ever made… almost three years sober now. My health and piece of mind improved greatly…

I had a guy I used to work with who would say, "I don't understand why people day it's so hard to quit drinking. I do it every Monday."

ETA...he would also say, "I don't drink anymore...but then again, I don't drink any less, either."

Excellent decision for your health and family. Since I’ve discovered edibles, I drink very rarely anymore & when I do, it’s one or two drinks just to be social.

It shocks me how many people drink their lives away when the booze does zero for them.

It would shock us if any of your posts are from a sober guy.

You can't be a rookie. As you get older you feel it more. Before bed drink 2 liquid IV's and your fine. Pull yourself together and get back out there and tackle life's challenges mmmk

AA saved my life man. Grab the big book and open up a new chapter brother .. there are some of us unfortunate bastards with no off switch. One isn’t enough and 16 isn’t too many. Drinking isn’t inherently bad. I’d never say that or judge anyone. For me it’s a no go and something I’m powerless over. frick it man. I don’t miss it anymore

Shoulda started drinking at an earlier age so your body can handle liquor and function the next day!

Life is about balance. Finding your balance with alcohol means not consuming it before a work day. A real man doesn't put in jeoparady the money he needs to earn for himself or his family.

There is a solution to this without quitting drinking. However, if you don't have this modest level of control, you should give up drinking alltogether.

I quit years ago after one particularly excruciating hangover. No regrets.
