Yeah, exterminating the threat and extraction is only the second (least important) part of their job. Their only job is to keep him alive, and they failed completely.
Trump is only alive because of luck, nothing more.

Sorry misread reading fast. We’re in alignment. Just in disbelief they could have such a failure that wasn’t on purpose.
It’s crazy that it’s honestly more logical they purposely let him crawl up the roof (and it wasn’t covered to start with) than incompetence because of how freaking incompetent it all looks.
