Are you saying the agent had advanced knowledge of the attack? Why would he place himself directly behind Trump in the downrange line of fire?
More likely he was just moving people from a part of the stage that they shouldn't have been.

The fact that there’s an amateur photo of a guy about to shoot an American president and no one in the secret service noticed in time to take him out is so buttfricking insane to me

You've got this 20yo kid. Ugly as all hell, hideously ugly, but he won some STEM award so probably pretty smart. Yes, he donated a whopping $15 to ActBlue. Yes, he registered as a republican not long after the Act Blue donation. Neither of those things make him overly political, much less indications of being extreme.
The shirt he was wearing is a popular gun youtube dude. To buy merch from a youtuber, you're pretty into them. The Reddit page for this dude's YouTube is essentially shutdown....admin deleting all comments with a generic statement pinned at the top. So he's a smart isolated kid who may have become infatuated with gun culture. And there's a presidential rally right near his house.
What makes a gunman more famous/infamous than assassination?
I don't think it would have mattered if it were Biden or any other politician on that stage so close to his home. This was a fricked up kid who had a very convenient opportunity arise to make an indelible mark on history using a tool he'd become infatuated with.
BTW, this isn't an anti-gun post. I'm just trying to understand what his motivation may have been while we wait for a deeper dive into his personal life by the authorities, press, and internet sleuths.

Has it been confirmed that he was involved in the violent antifa protests in Portland, Seattle and Minneapolis? I’ve seen those reports by random people on social media, but not sure how reliable.
