About 1200$ a month for 2 kids with 400$ extra for after school care. Plus a million fees and lots of begging for donations. I give 1$ for the annual fund drive, did one penny once because they kept emailing people saying their kids would not a get a pizza party if 100% of class didn’t donate

Good luck pal
You asked questions about my children's education. I answered them.
This is your response?
Sounds like I struck a nerve somewhere. I'm sorry that I have humiliated you in some way.

Holee shite. That's what I paid for two kids for pre-school. I'd tell them to learn how to take the shank, but my daughter would probably make it messy.
Haha no that’s for all three. Not 20k per. If it was 20k per, in the poetic words of Ivan Drago, if they die, they die. They better harden up fast cause off to general pop they go.

$28k/yr for all-year daycare for a toddler. #2 on the way will make it $56k/yr for two in daycare. This is a DC suburb in not the nicest or most affluent area.
We're looking to move to back to the South in the next year. Almost solely bc of childcare costs.

No. I pay taxes in Tx and it’s practically the same thing

Our last year was back in 2014 and the tuition was $7500.

A B C D E F, that'll be $10k. We require a payment of $20k to get to Z.

That's lazy Louisiana pumping garbage.
You can choose to live in a $300k or a 800k house. Your kids go to the same school, from the same hood. If you're a half mile east of where I lived, your tax rate was almost half of what it was where I owned property, at same valuation.

27k/yr all boys high school

10k for pre-k and k. Public schools for grade school, but allocating $15k for select travel sports, hoping that pays off. Kidding but not kidding.

We paid $18K this year and it goes up to $22K next year. High school is close to $40K annually.
I pay a lot for my kids private school education, but $40k per year/kid is ridiculous. You’re getting raped. No way you’re getting that much value.

Was paying ~10k for one kid and ~20k for the other. My oldest graduated in 2022 and the other graduates this year. Can’t wait for the raise when we no longer have to pay tuition.

Not having my my kids killed by Biden voter offspring is a good return on that money

If both of my kids weren't in gifted, I would send them to private... And I am a public school teacher. My school is one of the top ranked middle schools in the state, but I wouldn't blame anyone for avoiding other EBR schools.

Catholic schools in Lafayette are pretty reasonable. Most pre k-8th grade schools average around 8k per year. Now that my youngest is in high school 11-12k is normal. I have a freshman at St. Thomas More and after all is said and done it is around 11 ish. We are not catholic so unfortunately we pay out of parish fees there. I do consider it a worthy investment even though our area has a couple of great options including Southshide HS and a charter school.

Two of ours are in Catholic school. I see it as an investment in them. Super expensive but worth every penny.
