I know I'm definitely in the minority here but I like Louisiana weather. I like overcast and rainy days and I don't mind the heat when you could have AC or a pool, and it makes cold drinks more refreshing

The Mississippi pick is kinda weird, since Louisiana and Alabama share not only the same climate but the same weather systems and storms during spring, summer and occasionally winter. The only difference would the northern part of MS gets snow every year from just south of hwy 12 to the north, where as it misses the top part of Louisiana.

I visited my father in law there twice a year until about 8 years ago when he moved home and it was true for most of the people I met. Father in law included

I love dreary weather. If Seattle wasn't so f'ed up I'd consider retiring there.

I love Nashville but the weather is an armpit

Minnesota, more specifically the Minneapolis-St Paul area, has to be one of the absolute worst in the US:

quote:

the Twin Cities has a hotter all-time record high temperature of 108 °F (42 °C) than the entire state of Florida, despite being located nearly 1000 miles farther from the equator. Conversely, temperatures during the winter months are colder in the Twin Cities than in any other major metropolitan area in the continental United States, and are about equal to those in Anchorage, Alaska, which is around 1,000 miles (1,600 km) closer to the North Pole. The Twin Cities can also experience droughts, floods, and on average are windier than Chicago, Illinois (the "Windy City")

When I moved to Houston I convinced myself the summer would be more dry heat than Louisiana. Nope, same nasty humidity but even hotter.

Have you ever looked at a map?

Why would you think dry heat in Houston?

I hated the weather in Louisiana. frick hurricanes, night tornadoes, 100+ summer for 8 to 9 months and random lighting.

Ive lost lots of shite because of weather

Seattle gets a bad rap. It is no worse than Chicago or NY City. Definitely not as bad as Minneapolis. Definitely not 100 degrees like Phoenix. Plenty of metros worse than it IMO.

New Orleans I-10 to Houston
Houston I-45 to DFW
Dallas I-30 to Memphis via Little Rock and I-40
Memphis I-55 to New Orleans

This trapezoid is the most humid hellhole in the US.

Throw in ice storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes.

Well, that makes it so true. The people you kept company with were shady, so therefore they all are

Used to be a pocket of them on the kenai and West of Wasilla, but trooper stations decades ago chased most of them out.

Between this and the guy who thinks you have to shovel snow for 8 months in Boston I’m not sure some of you have left the house I assume you were born in

I think transplants from SoCal started this myth. I find the weather in the PNW to be more pleasant than most of the country, almost any time of year. There are definite wet/dry seasons but overall its very pleasant with average precipitation for the year.

All states have great weather times and also have shitty weather times.
Hell, even like San Diego where it's always nice weather would get tiresome because it never really changes.
States like Michigan have great summers, with low humidity and long days, the South has great falls and early springs.
I don't think you can pinpoint one state as having the "worst" weather.

3). Washington- Yes, it has 3 months of perfect weather, but does it really make up for remaining 9 of darkness and rain? There’s a reason this state is home to some dark things such as grunge rock, twilight, and The Ring!

The above is false. Unless you are from California. Or a Democrat. Then yes, gloomy AF so don’t move here.

If you are a Republican looking to flee JBE and the Huey Long full blown corruption AIDS, then please relocate here. There are multiple climates, so if you hate the rain but can tolerate wind, winter cold, and hot desert in the summer, we have places for you too. No income tax No sales tax in nearby Oregon and Montana

LA has 4 definite months of swamp arse weather - June through Sept. Sometimes you can toss in May and October too but that just depends on the year.
