The five least valuable college majors, according to the report, are:

169. Studio Arts
170. Human Services/Community Organization
171. Composition/Rhetoric
172. Miscellaneous Fine Arts
173. Clinical Psychology
I'm curious about this one. Especially in a state like Louisiana where it is dearly needed.

I was expecting a lot more of the usual OT engineering jealousy and hatred in this thread. Perhaps the OT has matured. (and I'm pronouncing that with an exquisite "ma-toured" and not "ma-chored")

So explain this shite. Does he have a license or do they just call themselves engineers to get laid?

The latter. The only things I learned in PETE were making neat spreadsheets and showing up promptly to tee times

So my General Studies Degree is more valuable than those?!

General Studies degrees can be very valuable if you take the right courses. Not sure why it gets so much hate.

I wonder how many of the graduates with a degree in the top five played travel ball? I ask this because of the huge number of threads started by people wanting to know what to do to give their kid the best shot at succeeding in a sport, but have never seen a single thread wanting to know what can they do to help their kid have the best shot at becoming a engineer or enter some other STEM related profession.

It's more a test of time management than any engineering principles. Everything you need to solve all the problems is in the formula book. Be familiar with using it, and you should be fine. I passed first try and did nothing but look over the formula book for an hour or two the night before.

In fairness, the path to a STEM career is a little more well known than the path to a D-I or pro baseball career.

Pharmacy is a graduate degree. I believe all Pharmacy programs now award a PharmD, a doctorate in pharmacy.

Don't think it should be on this list.

Only reason I caught it was because I questioned the ranking just like you. With a PhD you can pretty much just open a practice on your own, right away. Of course, with a BS only, you could pretty easily get a job at Target.
