Williamson County TN:

1. Job/money/job opportunities in the future
2. Demographics/good place to raise a family - small town feel while still being close to the big city when we want to be there
3. Close enough to my family and the wife’s family while still providing distance when we need it.

In the general area, because of my hubby’s son. We have to be close enough to share custody.

In the specific city, it’s close to my job and I hate commuting.

Central New Jersey.

1. My wife's job
2. New York City (pre-covid)
3. ETA: Thought of a third reason, the Delaware River corridor where we live is actually kind of nice.

Family is pretty much the only reason.

I'd rather live in a place with seasons and some terrain.

I know you did. And the least of a prop's concerns is zit poppins on their shorts.

Central Virginny in the country but not too far from the city.

1. Standard of living - good- paying jobs, good public education system, good infrastructure, etc.
2. Close to cool stuff - mountains, big cities, the bay, lakes, and rivers, wineries and craft beer.
3. Where I am I can hunt, fish, shoot, ride ATV's and party arse whenever I choose and nobody will care.

DFW area (Southlake):

Schools
Close to airport/work
Quality of life much higher relative to cost compared to other places
