No smart arse, if you look at previous comments about Toyota they received numerous down votes as well.

Probably because the cult of Toyota is living in the past.

Well f150s are 36k for general and 60k for everything

CEL items would fall under the 60k warranty.

Tightening the gas cap or replacing a sensor sure got more expensive.

Only thing I can guess is that the plugs are a bitch to access.

I got a quote to do a tune up on my 5.7L Hemi and it was around $500 but that included coil packs

Ford is the worst when it comes to service.

To their credit, some basic things do actually cost a fortune on Fords.

Changing the spark plugs on some of their V8s requires a massive amount of patience and probably a lot of spare plugs. The design is horrible.

needs a New Water Pump 660.00

Can an ECU even throw a code for a bad or failing water pump? Sounds like they're throwing in some of the recommended maintenance based on the mileage, because I can't really think of an engine issue that would throw a code requiring spark plugs and a water pump. But I'm not a mechanic so maybe I'm wrong.

I seriously doubt it - but I've never had a water pump fail. I don't drive Fords.

It sounds like they are just adding everything they think is wrong with the truck to the estimate.

2K/month or roughly 67 miles each day of the month.

Baw rolling.

If anyone thinks 67 miles a day every single day is not a lot they must commute. That’s a lot of fricking miles even if it’s mostly highway.

The driveability is perfectly fine. Not running hot, never misses. The only reason I brought the thing is was the check engine light and that was the only thing still under warranty. That was actually catalytic converter and covered
