More proof that ole Tommy was a pretty big piece of shite. The dude let his like 4th wife run his family out of his will. Jeesh.

He is not The but in the top three or four.

I'm worried that Gayle is going to run the program into the ground.

I am curious as to what happened because his granddaughter had been really involved with the organization then a year or two after winning the SB she was no longer involved.

There were stories she was not easy to work with, but I wouldn't think that would be the reason to eliminate her from his will. And since then she hasn't really ever been in the public eye. And all of a sudden, several years ago there was the issue with the will and who gets what, that went to court.. And now that he has passed it is publically know that his wife (his 3rd) is the sole beneficiary.. So when she passes away who gets the money, the teams, etc?

You and your three upvoters are ignorant as frick.

They constructively wrote themselves out of the will with their power hungry antics over the last several years.

His kids were not screwed over and left high and dry, much of Benson's assets had already been placed in a family trust, the will has no effect on the trust. While there is dispute over the value of assets that were swapped for shares of Saints ownership within the trust, his children are still very wealthy, and will remain so. The asset swap was done to give his wife majority ownership of the spots teams at the time of his death, but his kids probably still retain significant share hold in the teams through the trust.

True. People in here don’t understand the extreme length of estate and tax planning that goes into administering the assets Benson has. Multiple trusts and entities are set up in the most tax efficient manner to pass down that wealth.
