Looking to buy a seat for back of my bicycle or a wagon type pull behind. These pull behinds were not around when I was a kid, so I'm not so sure about them. Anyone have any recs?
Kid is 1.

Just strap him to a skateboard and avoid potholes

I have a pull behind and my son loves riding in it. He's 2.

I did the trailer, there was extra space in it for the baggage you'll need.

None, I love my kids and don't trust the idiots on the road.

A dude rides through my neighborhood every drive time in this:
He must be some hipster college professor or grad student that uses this bike to commute with.
I pity that kid if someone pulls out in front of them and a crash ensues.

why would anyone want to but a child that can barely hold its own head up on a goddamn bicycle?

I'm not going on the damn highway. I live in a subdivision or can go on the trace....live in Mandeville.

The kid is running around the house, not a limp infant...moron.

You do realize that kids can typically walk by age 1 (or are pretty close).

A 1 yo is plenty capable of holding its own head up.
The OT is an odd place. One minute, the kids today live sheltered lives and and America has become pussified, the next minute people think it's crazy to ride a bike with a child on it.

just got a seat for my 1.5 year old. She loves it

Go with the tow behind. Much more comfortable for the kid, which makes it more enjoyable for both of you. Plus extra room, and kid can nap when it gets tired.

What everyday, common words that everyone else takes for granted do you not know the meaning of, besides toddler?

Trailer is great. Seems safer to me.
Previous poster had a good point about the kid being able to nap in it.
Also can carry a cube-style ice chest in lieu of a kid.

Don't have one, but have thought hard about getting one. Pull behind is what I do. I know it's unlikely you'd fall over. But if you do, the pull behind will just tip over at worst. The seat might be a decent hight to hit the ground from. Plus, I think a lot of the pull behinds are designed to not flip easily and have a rollcage/harness.
