The three-year-old son of a ranger has been snatched and eaten by a leopard at a safari park in Uganda. The toddler was being looked after by a nanny in unfenced staff quarters at a safari lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park when the attack occurred. Wildlife authority spokesman Bashir Hangi said the child had followed the nanny outside on Friday night when the big cat struck.

Why? It's a wild animal doing what wild animals do.

Blame the dumbass humans.

How so? This leopard obviously sees humans as potential prey and has learned that the small ones are easy targets. It’s just doing what all predators do, namely go after easy prey. It’s in their nature to learn. Now that’s it’s successfully hunted a human, odds are it will do it again.

It is not more likely to go after a toddler now than it was before.

Its a wild animal doing what wild animals do.

I would like to see one shred of scientific evidence that wild animals acquire a taste for human flesh. Leopard saw potential prey and did what a leopard does.

odds are it will do it again.

If predators truly viewed us as prey we wouldn't have a chance...take great white sharks for example...do you realize how much easier it would be to prey on humans than seals? they could just set up shop and pick of hundreds of swimmers daily...we aren't on their diet and attacks are usually mistakes...just like the leopard attack was most likely
