Today is especially bad for the Bot Calls from card services.

I have gotten 5 different calls split between my 2 numbers.
And i just got a call from someone saying i called them.
When when this shite get regulated. Like you have to click the little box to prove you arent a bot.

Sounds like YouTube prank calls with soundboards. On YouTube there is some gold with Frank Garrett and the satanic racist

Yeah it's gotten really bad. Unfortunately for work i often get calls from numbers that aren't in my address book so i can't even ignore them.

I've gotten a lot of those calls this week from Rachel and her friends at Card Services. They'd stopped for a while, but now have started again and the caller id always shows a local or in state number and sometimes has the name of a business I'm not sure of. I don't understand why this isn't illegal! They should be put in jail for this crap.
ETA: I'm also suddenly being bombed with emails from an outfit called New Deal Shop. I have no idea what that is. Multiple emails all day long. I tried to unsubscribe and was told it would stop in 48 hours multiple times, but it hasn't.

If you don't do this already, it helps if you block the numbers every time they call. When I started blocking numbers, I noticed that over time they eventually stop.. For a while, but eventually the calls start to start up again with different numbers.

Just don't answer if you don't know the number. Problem solved, sorta.
I'm thinking of getting IFTTT so I can deal with these more properly. If a call comes in that isn't already in my contacts, send straight to VM and don't even make the phone ring. And delete any VM that is longer than 4 seconds. Anyone who wants to reach me can leave a VM long enough to be worth listening to, anyone else can DIAF.

I never answer them on my cell, but I don't get many spam calls on that phone. These come to my landline. I don't answer most of the time, but occasionally, the number looks familiar and I'll answer.

I get a lot. Like 4-5 a day. But I have fun with it. I usually end up getting cursed out by the time it is over. Good times.
