To you childless folks complaining about being bored during quarantine

You could have a toddler running around and driving you nuts from 6:30am to 9:00 when they finally tucker out and fall asleep. Zero rest for the weary.
I’d love to get into a ‘YouTube rabbit hole’ or ‘finish Netflix’. I’ve watched less TV during all of this even than before.

Yeah it gets pretty tough at times. Daycare opened back up last week and we sent him so stress levels getting back to normal for me.
A month of 2 adults with FT jobs, a toddler, and 2 dogs all in this 1500 sq ft house (I know not OT baller status) with nowhere to go was pretty stressful. Toddler was bored all the time after a week or two and just started getting into anything and everything he could and making huge messes. Because he was not getting the stimulation he was used to he was napping like shite and was getting cranky sometimes too.
By the end my nerves were shot and patience gone. Couple drinks at night really were nice though.

Yes it’s a pain in the arse and eliminates most personal time, but honestly the worst part is kids need to play with others, socialize, etc. Having mommy and daddy as the only playmate for this long takes a toll on everybody.

Where do you live that has opened daycare??

y'all sound lazy AF, TBH. Been working FT job, remodeling a house, with dog, on a farm and I've been loving every minute of this toddler stage.
Quit being selfish and do a good job raising your future diaper changer or else they'll ship your arse off to a shitty nursing home.

Baton Rouge.
I don't think daycares were ever mandated to be closed, they just had strict rules and had to encourage parents to only send children if they absolutely had to. Our daycare has up to 120 kids but was down to 14 when they decided to close. They opened after the SBA loan became available.. my guess is people were demanding refunds for them being closed so they just opened.
I could be wrong about the mandate but my understanding was that it was schools were closed, not daycares.

Who is watching your kid when you're doing all of these things? Because you're certainly not getting all of that done while actively watching a toddler.
