We haven’t been patronizing any as of yet, but reading another thread someone mentioned people seemed to be doing some decent business considering the shite show.

What have you all seen?

Ordered curbside to-go from a local brewpub on Thursday night... there were still some people hanging out and eating on the patio and at the bar, but it was mostly empty and it didn't seem like they were crushing it on the to-go orders either.

Definitely wasn't a line.

Only had Chinese food delivered the other night cooked a spaghetti and fried fish last night.

Probably cook burgers tonight and do a butt tomorrow and steaks Sunday.

I can't imagine a restaurant only doing take out orders is considered "decent business" with how thin the margins are for most of them

Doordash seems to be going strong. Tons of new restaurants added recently in my area. A lot of these had been hesitant to let Doordash in their business, but now they can actually perform a critical service for the restaurant.

Other restaurants are asking you to contact them directly because they're paying their servers to deliver.

They should have the Chick Fil A drive thru workers manning the Covid test sites.

We could have the whole country tested in a week.

Is McDonald's giving away free food? I've passed a couple with really long lines. What does McDonald's have that's worth sitting in line for?

Restaurant I picked up from last night said that they have lost 70% of their business. It’s a truly sad time for small businesses.

We have ordered a couple of times from our favorite local places and the “line” has been maybe 3 or 4 cars at peak times.

It’s basically just the super loyal customers trying to help, but this isn’t sustainable.

One of our favorite restaurants just closed and furloughed all of its employees.

I’m sure more are soon to follow.

Grocery stores must be doing their best business ever. Only place I’ve been all week is the grocery a couple of times and the shelves have been bare and they look to have full staff. Stockers are all out on the floor and all registers open.

Yeah any service industry people being laid off or furloughed should go to grocery stores as they are hiring temp positions right now

Some fast food places seem to be doing a lot of drive-thru business. It's probably dipped some for most of them too though.

The ones that make a lot of their profits on alcohol are getting crushed.

Went to a place in Monroe, and the parking lot was full of cars. Went inside, and there were five people ordering. No idea why all those cars were there.

Are they allowing to-go booze in LA right now?

If I was back there I'd consider going to Olive or Twist and asking for a pitcher of Old Fashioned.

My friend that reps a beer distributor said the local Walk On's does between 18-20k a day normally. They're down to 1500-2k now.
