The AP2 is a great club but may not suit your needs as well as others mentioned below. I think the best iron for your range would be Mizuno JPX or Cobra Amp Cell. I would also suggest trying out some graphite shafts if you haven't before.

As a 14 handicap I think a game improvement iron would be better for you.

I really wanted the AP2's, Just didn't like them, pulled the string on srixon z745's. was gonna get the mp54 mizunos until i hit the 745s.

I played calloway x12 for 30 yrs, so it's taking some adjustment but i love em,

hit the ap2 on a range at a demo day if you can, but at the end of the day buy what you like

Brand...model...players...game improvement...none of it matters. If you like it and you hit it well it's the right club. Titleist makes fantastic clubs. So do Mizuno, Adams, Wilson and most other major OEMs right now. If you hit the AP2s better than anything else you've picked up, they're worth every penny.

Best set of clubs you'll ever own. Don't hesitate, they're worth every penny. I Have the 712's and I love them.

I am interested in purchasing a set of Titleist AP2 irons in the near future. I have a handicap of 14. I have hit a demo club in a simulator and like the feel of it. But simulators make you feel like every club is worth buying. I just want to get some thoughts and opinions if anyone owns a set. Are they worth the money?

Mizuno MP series is the answer to your question. If you truly are a 14 the irons will be great. I've been playing the MP-52 for quite sometime. I think they are now called the MP-54's.

This board is about outdoor stuff, like Gulf... not golf

I almost suggested the More Sports Board, but then I remembered that golf isn't a sport.

You're right, that's probably where it belongs.
