BREAKING: US Navy detected Titan implosion on SUNDAY, but Biden admin only released news on Thursday AFTER Hunter plea deal and whistleblower reports released.
This infuriates me

A top secret US Navy acoustic detection system first picked up on the Titan submersible implosion just HOURS after the sub began its mission on Sunday, officials involved told WSJ.

Almost immediately after the sub lost communication with its mothership, the Navy began listening in. Shortly thereafter, the U.S. system detected what it suspected was the sound of an implosion near the debris site which was discovered on Thursday.

sub that size able to breach line Red October without killing everyone on board?
Goddamn it. 3 downvotes and no answers.
What would an emergency “abort” look like or be?
I understand that now with this being a catastrophic structural failure, there is nothing. They didn’t have time to form the phrase “oh shite”. Not even got the “oh” out or from the thought.
But if steering is lost? Propulsion? Communication? What is possible in a “nope. Trips over “ event. One where they aren’t instantly killed.

Beginning to listen that quickly has to be code for - was listening the entire time. Maybe part of training and/or testing equipment in international waters, but I can’t believe they just happened to start listening at that moment.

Sonar buoys in the water!

Just guessing here but maybe the mother ship contacted the Navy when comms failed. Asked for some assistance or observation?

Our subs have their passive arrays out pretty much all of the time when submerged. Any of our subs within 3-400 miles would’ve easily heard the implosion. It’s not some conspiracy theory

Catastrophic Implosion of a submersible explained:
When a submarine hull collapses, it moves inward at about 1,500 miles per hour - that’s 2,200 feet per second.
The time required for complete collapse is 20 / 2,200 seconds = about 1 millisecond.
A human brain responds instinctually to stimulus at about 25 milliseconds. Human rational response (sense?reason?act) is at best 150 milliseconds.
The air inside a sub has a fairly high concentration of hydrocarbon vapors.
When the hull collapses it behaves like a very large piston on a very large Diesel engine.
The air auto-ignites and an explosion follows the initial rapid implosion. Large blobs of fat (that would be humans) incinerate and are turned to ash and dust quicker than you can blink your eye.
GOTDAMN!

I was not suggesting a conspiracy theory and actually I quoted the wrong person. I was responding to the quote that was in Dallas tigers post. He wondered why the Navy started listening in right after communications failed with the submersible. And I suggested that maybe the mothership contacted them when communications failed. Naturally in your eagerness to try to prove your mental superiority, you jumped straight to when The implosion happened.
I hope I typed that slow enough for you.
