‘Tis the time of year to realize your SO knows nothing about you.

I’m numb to it now, but the time’s here again. For the things I really care about I just buy myself and give her the package unopened...so officially I’ve never really seen it. Still, for the stuff I put on my list...I can’t wait to see how ‘not me’ they are.
I’ll admit I’m a little too particular for my own good, but I’m also very cognizant of my SO’s preferences. It’s not hard for me to tell if it’s something she’ll like. Seems impossible the other way around though.
Gotta practice the “WTF?..I love it!” smile for next week.

My SO and I buy just about everything we want for ourselves throughout the year and are both extremely picky.
Rather than freaking out that gifts are so hard to pick out and starting the "OMG my SO doesn't even know me" drama, why not just stop exchanging gifts with each other?

is she at all normal or basic? just from what i know of you from the OT, you're too damn eccentric to shop for...the plasti-dipping, the de-badging, the jeans that stand up on their own... i think you were even into designer pens this year.

My wife and I haven’t bought Christmas gifts for each other in about 5 years. We just save the money and spend it on a really nice dinner and a show.

sucks to be you. My wife always find me shite that I didn't know existed but am pumped as hell to have. To fill the gap I send her to the stores where I buy most of my whiskey and tell her which employees know what I like.

We are both pretty good gift givers. We just set a price limit each year.
