I read a couple of days ago it's actually in the negatives for effectiveness.

I’m still dealing with a crazy two week long thing from right after thanksgiving. Pretty much everyone in my family got hit with it.

Hoping my shitty plan will eventually cover it. Last year they still wanted $300.

I got the flu a few weeks ago and missed one day of work with no medicine.

Some of y'all need to man up and learn to deal with the sniffles.

I just got over 2 rounds of it. Brutal stuff. The worst part is it didn't take my appetite at all.

I weigh 211 lbs now and I weighed 195 before Thanksgiving and right before I got sick. All I've done is lay around and eat for 3 weeks.

Today's my first fasting day in a month hoping to get back under 200 by NYE.

No offense, but you did not have the flu.

Nah I'll pass. I'll take my chances with fighting off the flu rather than whatever big pharma decides it wants in my body.

Yep, I’m in my fifties and I honestly haven’t had the flu since I was a little kid. Not changing a thing.

Even with the K variant of H3N2, that’s causing all of the trouble, it’s still reducing hospitalization in those who get the vaccine. The late season data from the UK showed while it didn’t necessarily prevent mild illness, it helped keep hospitalizations in children and adults down.

I’ve never had much trouble with the flu vaccine. Usually get the body aches for a couple of days then I’m good.

How is prevented hospitalization measured?

In the UK? The gist I got was they compared hospitalized admission data between who was vaccinated and who wasn’t. I imagine it may be easier to track there due to universal healthcare (data access across systems).
