Believe me, there’s more to it than that and I hear about it.
open up Crystal reports and edit the receipt

Does that place do dine in service too? Their system isn’t going to print different receipts depending on pick up or not. It’s probably just programmed in there.

Dude you don’t have to tip on this stuff. I am sure their machines are already set up that way.

I usually give them a couple of bucks if they don’t look like stoners.

ALL of my employees make well above minimum wage.

I allow them to have a tip jar. Why not?

I was there last week, the person working the window was staring at me while I filled it out, so I got guilted into tipping

Screw them. This practice really needs to be stopped. It is out of hand now and getting worse by the day.

I've been asked at the blue store on highland if I wanted to leave a tip at the drive through. I did have my food yet so a tipped $1.

I don't usually tip at a drive through. But if the line is really long, but moves really fast, I will sometimes give the cashier a ten and tell them how much I appreciate them doing such a good job.

The frickers tipping at Sonic, pick up orders, and drive through, are probably the same ones giving the panhandlers money.

Drive Thru Daiquiri place in Metairie? Hell yes. Why? Not sure. I just do it.
And yes, I know drive thru daiquiri places are trashy. Hell, I live in Metairie, so...

I know the Take Out tipping issue has been beaten to death but what about at the drive thru?
IMO, the drive thru worker has more work to do while juggling more customers per hour. They deserve a tip over the take out server, but neither are getting anything from me.

Tipping should be done for exceptional service.
Never for any other reason.
I see several teens in my practice. They have told me that they are paid below minimum wage for their job. However, at the end of the shift, they have to "tip out" and they total their tips and wages. If it does not equal minimum wage per hour, the restaurant makes up the difference.
No need to feel guilty guys. They are all getting paid a fair wage whether they are good at their job or not.
That said, I always tip for excellent service with a smile. (but not out of guilt)

When i worked at dominos in college all of our receipts had a tip line. didnt matter what form of pickup was done. I though it stupid and there was only one time i remember snagging a tip from a drive through check. I gave some guy 50% off of his order (was one of the weekends where you get 50% off your online order) even though he didnt order online just because and he gave me the difference as a tip.
